Message from the organisers of a protest outside City Hall on College Road.

Please find information below regarding a demonstration about the Galway Water Crisis this Monday the 23rd of April at 6pm at the City Hall, Galway. We are representing the ordinary people of Galway who have been denied access to our drinking water and want an end to this crisis NOW! About 250 people turned up for the protest, the crowd was addressed by the lobby group also Michael D Higgins, The Mayor and generally well received by the council.

Only commitment given was that by June 15th the issue would be resolved.

I assure you that there were many ordinary people at the protest. Of course there were left wingers: there were also centrists, rightwingers, 'red bull gives you wingers' and every other political persuasion you can think of.  All of us have to endure this crisis. We have had over 2000 people sign a petition who would probably be quite insulted by your insinuations. Looks are not everything.
